BRUTUS BUCKEYE WILL TAKE YOU DOWN...
Looks like NJ is going to take the hit. Given the history of power and cable loss I expect the area to go down. It's just a matter of how long systems will be out. The ice storm from last October cost us 10 days of genny fuel. Picked up 10 gallons for my genny so we'll be fine no matter what but that doesn't help when the cable lines go down. We'll just switch the ipads off the home cable feed.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.
My part of VA is pretty well protected by mountains. Be careful Whippett!
Go Hawkeyes.
(Insert snarky "how good California weather is" comment here.)
Seriously - I hope the damage is minimal and all of you are safe.

I'm only a block up from the water, but not on a flood plane. During hurricane Irene, our basement was dry and we only lost power for about 14 hours, so I'm hoping for the best. I'm not working tomorrow, so my wife and I will be here to deal with whatever happens. Good luck to all.

25 mph wind, light rain...the fun begins later on.

Good luck to everyone out there on the East Coast

Its been steady raining here for about the last 18 hours. Not hard, but steady.
I'm far enough out from the beach to where flooding shouldn't be an issue, only thing so far is a small tree at the foot of my driveway is down.

I'll hope so for you and everyone else.
Not to weird anyone out, but when my home flooded in 2008 NO ONE would have even guessed that we could have ever been flooded as far away from the river as we live, as well as being on an inclined street.
Well, guess what?
Best wishes, everyone.
