Interview here, she showed up late about, 15 minutes into the interview, but she did show up. Listen, a quite interesting interview.

Re: Victoria Jackson from Saturday Night Live
Haven't listened to the interview yet, but as I recall, she:
1. Sang "I am not bimbo"
2. Married a cop
3. Got religion
(not necessarily in that order)

Did a ton of stuff, on Carson with Carson 20X, Leno 2X, My favorite is Angry Woman. Am not a Bimbo is pretty good, and yes she really did marry a cop.

I posted this on the other forum too, and this is probably mainly for Dartshark and Grips, but does Victoria Jackson remind you of Frishkorn's mom?

Re: Victoria Jackson from Saturday Night Live
I just listend to the interview and wished I could have responded when she said that if there were no God who loves us and no Jesus and no afterlife, there would be no reason to get up in the morning - life would just be about money and pleasure and would be so shallow.
A shallow, superficial life is not the only alternative to a spiritual one. A person can derive satisfaction from a life well lived on earth - an honest, caring, loving and humanitarian life completely devoid of any belief in God or spirituality. Such a life is its own reward and no reward in the hereafter is necessary or expected. I find it very presumptuous of people to say that a life without religion is not as enriched as a life with it. That may be true for them, but it isn't true for everyone.
And besides, there's nothing wrong with money and pleasure as long as you put them in perspective.
If anyone wishes to discuss this further, we should move it to the Politics and Religion Forum.
