I'm sick of hearing soccer moms complaining on the news about $500 Hannah Montana tickets because Ticketmaster & ticket brokers screwed the "fans".

Where were they when Pearl Jam nearly commited career suicide by refusing to go through Tickmaster?

I still think Pearl Jam was on the verge of become the next mega band (Beatles, Stone, Led Zep) when they canceled their tours and quit releasing music in protest.

It really sounds like a porn star if I didn't already know she was bound to be the next Britney "Trailer Park" Spears.

I only know who Hannah Montana is cause Dave and I were meeting with the Greensboro Coliseum people about Super 32 stuff a few days after the tickets had gone on sale. He had someone he worked with that desperately wanted ticktes, so Dave said, well, I know the people at the Coliseum so I'll ask them if there's anything they can do. But when he was first telling me about this, he neglected to tell me it was for a co-worker. He was just going on and on about frantically trying to get tickets.

I asked him who Hannah Montana was, and he told me she was on the Disney channel. I was convinced he'd gone 'round the bend.

Best I can tell, she's sort of the next edition of the Lizzie McGuire character that Hilary Duff played to get her "big start."

The funny thing was, apparently the day before the tickets went on sale in Greensboro, there was a big rumor she was pregnant.

One thing that does suck about having to deal with Ticketmaster is that there's no guarentee you can find tickets to a show that doesn't have to deal with the bastards.

Right after I graduated H.S., it was a pain in the butt to try to get tickets to the Rage Against The Machine/Wu-Tang Clan show up at Merriweather Post Pavilion outside of D.C. ... after numerous phone calls (this was pre-internet, well, pre-internet in my house), I finally found them and boom, best concert I've ever attended -- and it wasn't done by Ticketmaster.

Only bad thing about the concert was the opening act -- Atari Teenage Riot -- but they still have more screaming talent than the crap that Fall Out Boy does.
