Hibachi to buy Bonds ball?

Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas apparently doesn't like ol' Marc Ecko's idea of branding the Bonds ball with an asterisk and then giving it to the Hall of Fame.

He claims in his blog above that he's offering Marc Ecko 0,000, which is more than Ecko paid for the ball originally, and that he's going to display it in his Hall of Fame. He also says that if Bonds is ever "proven" then he'll give it back.

Not quite sure where to go with this, I think Gilbert Arenas is hilarious and this is pure him offering money for the ball. I also love the idea of branding the ball. It'll be fun to see this progress, if it does at all.

Interesting investment coop - -buy the ball and purport to mar it in some way and see who comes to the rescue and at what price. Kinda like holding the ball hostage.
