Looking for an online photo storage option
My wife and I bought a Nikon D90 in November of 2008 and our photo collection is beginning to grow. We're looking for a spot to store them online. We don't mind paying for the storage space, though of course free is always better.
We've thought about buying an external HD but we would like to be able to view them when traveling or to give others (grandparents especially) the ability to view them as well, and maybe even order prints if they wish.

Re: Looking for an online photo storage option
Google's Picasa and Microsoft's Live.com are two of the more mainstream options.
Picasa gives you a few Gigs of space free and allows you to purchase more... It also allows for easy sharing (privately and publicly) and the Application (also named Picasa) is a pretty solid image editor.
Live.com gives you 25GB of space free and allows sharing but I'm not as familiar with that one.

I use Smugmug, and I upload photos for family members all over the country.
