Comprido On Lesnar's Ground Game:
The guy's a world class wrestler, US champion. It's impossible that he doesn't know anything about fighting on the ground. He has a really good base, and he positions himself well. The guy is always open to learning new things, or in other words, he's the student every teacher wishes they had. Of course there are things to improve and I hope to help him with the Jiu-Jitsu part. Sooner or later he'll have to face Rodrigo Minotauro, who's the best MMA fighter I've ever seen fight. But he's focused on his next fight and is not thinking about that yet. I'm aware of the fact that he's way above average and that I can help him conquer the UFC belt or that of any other event he wishes to compete in.

Probably should have done something like this before the Mir fight. Hopefully this is a Hwt sized guy and not a clone of George Gurzel.
Mir made the comment too that they figured a leg submission was the only thing they could count on against Lesnar. Of course he could also lose if he gases.

I know he was working with Erik Paulson pretty extensively before the Mir fight. Paulson is no joke on the ground particularly with leg locks.
I do agree though that he probably should have had more bjj specialists in his camp.

He probably trained on the submissions Mir figured he could not use. Hopefully his cardio is good. If he can't put Herring away early and doesn't have the wind he needs, I could see him getting battered on his feet later in the fight

That's what I thought when I read this the other day.
Brock has a distinct advantage over a lot of the fighters out there.. he's got the money to get the best in the world to train with him. He can focus totally on where he's lacking. He can fly in anyone that accepts at anytime.

Re: BJJ world champ working with Lesnar
How many BJJ world champs are there? It seems like everyone and their mom is a BJJ world champ nowadays. Is it just like the World Championships for wrestling?
