Affliction needs to step up

Come on! Barnett is not getting any younger. How do you not have him face Fedor in July? Who else is there. They have both of them slated to fight separate oponents (TBA).

They are done. Why don't they combine efforts with Coker's Strikeforce? Imagine having their hwt's to add to Strikeforces middleweights?

I also think Strikeforce has a much better production - vibrant colors and a clear picture like the UFC. Plus with Showtime, they can air some good free stuff and look to hype PPVs that way .

I am just surprised they don't headline a big Fedor vs Barnett fight. Barnett only has a couple years left in him imo. I like the cards they have created. But I think that buz is now gone. Strikeforce made the move I had been itching for, and that was to combine with the EliteXc talent. Combining efforts with Affliction would put them up with UFC. I like that Coker is easy to work with.

I don't know why they'd hold off on having Fedor meet Barnett, no one else left for him outside the UFC that I can think of.

Maybe they have Kimbo Slice in mind.

It was based on a swirling rumor that it would set the date to compete with the UFC event on the 11th. We now know that to not be true.

Great, east target practice for Fedor. Monson is 3-0 against fighters from the former Soviet Union. However, there is no reason Barnett doesn't get the shot. This will raise little excitement for the card.

I don't think Monson has a chance, but he's a better wrestler who is very good at submissions, so if he could limit the standup and avoid being on bottom, its not impossible
