Its about what I expected, Fedor to sub him quick like he usually does. For being the baddest dude on the planet, he seems quite respectful when he fights and doesn't try and embarrass or hurt his opponents.

Lindland is world class, but he obviously bit off more than he could chew here.

Witlulski at themat says Lindland got screwed (cheated). That would be bad for a new organization. Has anybody actually seen this event?

Yah, it wasn't even close. Matt got fedor in a bodylock and fedor reversed matt and then got on top of him. After several attempts on a leg lock and armbar, Fedor finally catches him with an armbar from the mount. It's the armbar that he missed on hunt the first time. Matt is good, but he had no business in the ring with Fedor. Matt's really an 185lber.

The fight looked pretty close to me until the submission. If Fedor had not grabbed the ropes Matt would have probably gotten the slam off. I think that fight almost had more to due with Fedor's abilities than size difference.

    Fedor grabbed the rope.

Lindland grabbed the rope earlier in the fight and also hit Fedor in the back of the head.
