Re: Brock Lesnar Interview 3-8-09
I loved this Q & A:
How does it feel to have reached the top of the UFC, the largest stage in MMA, so quickly?
BL: I have been fortunate. Also, losing early was humbling but at the same time it was a positive experience for me. I fed off the loss and built off that to improve myself. When I first approached Dana White, I told him I wanted to fight the best the UFC had to offer. I had the marketing appeal for them as well. At the end of the day this is also a business for me and the UFC, and having me fight the best in the UFC is good for all of us.
People always think Lesnar is here just to be famous and the same for Dana, but lesnar said it himself he wants to fight the best of the best right off the back and he is succesful at it. By the end of 2009 Lesnar will be declaired the #1 heavyweight in MMA

I don't think that can happen unless Fedor loses to Barnett (if that fight happens). I don't think any fights in the UFC alone could put Lesnar in the #1 slot unless Fedor goes through another stretch of fighting unranked opponents (and if that happens, it will be 2010 at the earliest that Lesnar passes him).

Doesnt look like that fight will happen. I find it funny that they consider themselves good friends as they have probabaly been in the same room about twenty times and neither can speak the others language.

I believe Randy said that Fedor can speak English and chooses not to (part of his persona). (I also recall him reacting to fighters talking about him after a fight in English like he understands it)
I think Fedor likes any fighter that treats him with respect - doesn't like trash talking and I don't see him doing Dana any favors for that reason.
the fight won't happen because Affliction 3 won't happen or for other reasons?

Other reasons, I guess they didnt really want to fight each other. Affliction 3 is still planned.
