It will be interesting to see how the weight classes play out.

Sanchez now has a credible win at 155 but I think he will fight at least once more before getting a title shot. I expect his next opponent to either be the winner of Sherk/Edgar or possibly Clay Guida.

BJ Penn has said he wont be ready by UFC 99 so the fight is being put off until August. BJ always does things his way and unfortunately it will be over a year before he defends his title.

Who will be next in line after Alves? If Alves wins it creates a logical rematch against Fitch as already beat Alves. I expect GSP to win though but there is a lack of worthy opponents. The most logical opponent at this point would be Swick if he wins his next fight.

They promised Okami a title shot but he is not very popular and not the most exciting fighter. They would much rather have Bisping beat Henderson and give him the title shot. In the meantime you have Maia and Marquardt lurking. It seems inevitable that those two will fight but will the winner get a title shot?

I think Okami should fight one more time, he has a lot of wins but none of them are over a top 185 fighter.

The big question is who gets the next title shot. It looks like Rashad could defend his title at UFC 100 but will it be against Rampage or Jardine. We will find out in two weeks if Rampage wins.

I hope Dana does not screw over Machida but giving the winner of Liddell/Shogun a title shot first.

Who gets the next title shot after Lesnar destroys Mir? If Gonzaga beats Carwin I would think he gets it. Talk about living off of one win. Gonzagas biggest win is against the now 205lb Carmelo Marrero. He is very talented but has lived up to it outside of the Cro Cop win. Heres to Carwin putting a beating on him and confirming that he is legit. The other possible contender could be Cheick Kongo. Lesnar is a terrible matchup for him and I would expect that one to be over quickly.

When Cro Cop departed the UFC both sides said that he would be back eventually. He has now confirmed that he will be fighting for the UFC again but it looks like it could start out as one fight deal.

I got the event dates up, Ill see what I can do with the tick sale dates.

Hey I actually like Gonzaga. I think he is immensely talented and could be a wrecking machine. Unfortunately I have seen some signs from him that indicate that he either has a weak gas tank or may lack a little heart. Plus I am rooting big time for Carwin.

I will say though that I respect Gonzaga more after I saw him at 5:30 am in the casinos partying it up with his posse.
