I also don't know who this is. You knew him before the UFC signed him?

PJ, bought my Denver tickets today. Arriving March 25th, skiing in Aspen the 27th, going to a wedding on the 28th and returning home on the 30th. Bringing my older 2 guys.

Not hard to imagine. This is a major signing of a top 10 MW who is very well known in Korea and Japan. All of his 13 professional fights have been on FEG (the biggest promoter of combat sports in Japan) promoted cards. He's a champion judoka and holds 1st round wins in MMA over Denis Kang and Melvin Manhoef. He, Misaki and Okami are the three best Japanese fighters above 170 pounds right now, no question.

Outside of perhaps a Lawler return, I can't think of another MW I'd rather see the UFC add.

I find it funny that the UFC signs Akiyama after the whole "Vaselinegate" incident... but I'm glad that they are adding more depth to MW, Akiyama is a beast.

Plus he has one of the best entrances in MMA... I hope he can still it in the UFC
