Breaking News: UFC Fighter On Steroids, Suspended 9 Months (Wrestling News)
MMAScoops.com is reporting that Chris Leben has just been suspended by the UFC for nine months and fined him one-third of his fight purse following a positive drug test for the steroid Stanazolol after his loss to Michael Bisping at UFC 89 in England in October.

It always to be one step forward 2 steps back for Leben.
He makes the move to Hawaii and the story was that he had become more mature and focued then he gets a dui. So he stops drinking and again the story is that he is more mature and focused then ever and now he gets busted for steroids.

I thought I had read on Sherdog that 2 fighters tested positive?
This does add credibility to the UFC's in house testing system, they had tried to conceal positive tests in the past (Diego for weed).
They should be looking to dump people if they are serious about people cheating. This is easier since Leben lost

I've been hearing that lots of guys are on it and are passing their tests. This is leading other guys to feel like they need to get on it too and do the things you need to do in order to pass your tests. Just this weekend I read an entire discussion (elsewhere, not on mma boards) about the strategy being used in order to pass the tests and what one can take. This is pretty wide spread and if the commission is serious about cracking down, lots of more guys will be getting popped.

Lets go Brent!

I agree. The tests are flawed and the top guys aren't going to some dealer in a gym. They are going to doctors and they are giving them strategies and protocols to beat the tests.

On a somewhat related note, do they test for Viagra? I read somewhere that some athletes, particularly cyclists, are snorting Viagra.

I'm sure Adolf has competed with a high level of it in his system.
Leben has been propped up too much by the UFC anyways. Think about it, he lost twice on that show and was still allowed to headline so many shows. I think they should ship him to the WEC or kick him out altogether and make room for new talent. Apparently the UFC believes he has a big fan base.
