Askren wins again

Beat Ryan Thomas without controversy 30-27. Will now face Dan Hornbuckle. How are his chances?

If he fights like he did against Ryan THomas, he will get submitted. In embarassing fashion. He needs to establish a more solid base, he was utterly unable to control THomas at all. THey were rolling around like two 5 year olds in their first wrestling match.

Dan has a lot of experience and is well rounded. He has good striking and submissions. I really like both Ben and Dan a lot, but I think Hornbuckle will win this. I'd like Ben to prove me wrong though!

I still haven't been able to see Ben's fight, only Dans. If anyone has a link to watch it i'd appreciate it as Purefight only has hornbuckles up for some reason.

Ill be interested to see him fight someone who isn't just another wrestler.... that fight was boring.

He will have a higher quality opponent next round and I think he'll look a lot better than he did this round as a result.

Thomas sat on his back defending arm bars the entire time, where Hornbuckle will be actively looking for attacks and opening up... I think this plays into Askren's style more because he will be able to find openings rather than make them.

Hornbuckle definitely looked better in the semi-finals, however, I think Askren will find a way to beat him.

When Askren is nervous he starts slow and that is something he will really want to pay attention to.

I don't understand why Ben didn't just rain down punches on this guy. His face should have been meat.
