At least we have sparked a debate!!! I guess having 20 (IMO, 19.5 of which turn out to be nonsense) new posts a day is a good thing.. Most of those posts go unanswered. Is this a message board or a news wire?

MMA reporter does post too many articles IMO. Seems like if Schlottke can dial it down so there are less articles posted thst will be a good thing.

I brought it down to importing 4 items every time it checks (8 hour intervals) from the 8 items it had been bringing in. If it's still too much or the quality of the articles begins to decrease just let me know and I can drop the ratio even more.

How abott if MMA reporter has a sticky folder with all his, (its) threads in there? That way it doesn't clutter the board, and he can bring in as many new topics as his heart desires? If it gets action, it falls into the regular board. if it doesn't it stays in the folder. I don't know if we have the technology to do that but an idea. Keep in mind I came over from the other place where their site is prehistoric so I'm not sure what the limits are.

When I read MMA Reporter's articles, I like to read them in my head with C3PO's voice. It makes them seem a little more regal.

He posted 8 articles in less than 4 hours on Saturday... 1 was informative. The other 7 were about nonsense.

If it's cut back to 4, how do we know that the 1 that was informative will be one of the 4 kept ... and not one of the 4 lost?

Not saying to keep it at 8. Just wondering how the choice is made on which ones it keeps vs discards.

In the little bit that I've been able to "drive-by" here lately, I have noticed quite a few dead threads with some article that no one seemed to care about.

mmareporter brings very little to the table. he often posts "breaking news" hours after i have brought the board up to the date.

Many of his articles are repeats, and sometimes the articles have nothing to do with mma.
