According to mmajunkie.com, Alistair Overeem (33-11 (1NC)) will be fighting Todd Duffee (6-1) at Dynamite!! 2010 on December 31.

Alistair Overeem is the current Strikeforce Heavyweight champion and reigning K-1 Grand Prix champion.

Overeem has not fought in an MMA match since he defended his heavyweight title against Brett Rogers last May, although he is hardly out of practice, as he won the K-1 Grand Prix on December 11.

Todd Duffee has not fought since his abrupt release from the UFC in September. Prior to Duffee's release, he was 1-1 in the UFC and had the fastest-recorded knockout in UFC history. In his one loss against Mike Russow, he out-struck him for 12.5 minutes until getting caught and knocked out cold.

This is a huge fight for Duffee, and with a win, the UFC or Strikeforce will almost certainly be calling him.

Duffee does have another fight lined-up for January 29, but if he gets a call from a major promotion, he would probably be willing to call that one off.

For Overeem, it is not as big a fight, but adding another name to his resume could never hurt.

This fight could be spectacular and could be a great way to end the year. You can expect an all-out, stand-up war between these two 265-pound behemoths.
