Yeah, most definitely. Anyone who has the opportunity to use the double grapevine can get the fall.
Yeah, but only the most experienced wrestlers can master the technique well enough to get the pin.
Yeah, but only if the guy getting pinned with the double grapevine is pretty lousy.
No, the other guy can usually counter it.
No, getting an opportunity to use the double grapevine is pretty rare.
I much prefer riding double legs. Much less risk than when you're riding with just one leg in my opinion. If you get a kid who can power half this can be a go to series. It's a great way to wear a kid down and with just some patience they'll eventually give in.
Go Hawkeyes.
I would say so. I would counter a lot of rolls with the double grapevine...I had 5 or 6 falls this year by double grapevine out of 16 or so

Its a great move to (carefully) move into for the fall following a nice chin-whip from standing or following a turk-> catch head-> elevate turked leg high-> switch legs-> arch hips HARD. I have done both, but my favorite was catching a EIWA champ and Canadian Olympian in it off the chin whip. He was so big and strong, that he seemed to think he could just bodylock me through, but once he felt my whole body on his far side, it was pretty much over.
