    Strange, as Kyle Klingman, the Director of the Dan Gable Museum in Waterloo, announced just this week on the local news that Bill Smith was actually the first Olympic gold from Iowa in wrestling in 1952.

    Sounds like someone is wrong...

    Very strange, as both Allie Morrison and Glen Brand earned their gold medals before Bill Smith, in 1928 and 1948, respectively...

    But, Kyle's in Iowa and runs a museum, and I'm out in in Cincinnati...
