The material along the side that is super thin on the previous versions of the Combat Speed is still relatively light weight, though the material seems to be of lesser quality.
The sole of the shoe seems unchanged, aside from being one solid color.
The toe seems to be more reinforced that previous versions which *should* be better for the common wear through issues.
Overall, I like the shoe. I think it's priced right for this economy, but Adidas is trying to use the history of the Combat Speed to sell the shoe more so than the workmanship itself. Nothing is wrong with the shoe, it's just not as high end as it's namesake.

The rest of the shoe is as pictured.
I thought the stripes being plastic was a little weird.
I really don't get why they don't bring back these color combos that are so popular in trading:
