    Hey bro,

Things are going good for Darrion these days. Hope your keeping up with him!

Tanner wrestled at senior national giving up way too much weight. He weighed in at 202lbs. During high school he fluctuated between 197 and 205. Right now he is weighing about 212 and lifting every day. He is about 6ft2in and really has a great wrestlers build. I just hope they don't want him at 184

I almost picked up Kjar when I was looking for a solid 125, but I couldn't figure out whether or not his conference went to NCAAs. Now you tell me they don't, and I'm glad I didn't pick him up. Sorry I haven't replied to you in a while (or your email); my quarter is really busy and I don't even make the time to call my mom. It's a sad state.

Baileys career is over from what I hear, I'll give it a gander tonight and see if I can make any improvements

He's from upstate NY. I don't anything about him.

Since the program is still so new they didn't get to go to NCAA's the last couple years. I don't know when the restriction will drop and they'll finally be allowed to go.

    Sorry.

I'm hardly unbiased. Letts and Henrich had close matches last year, with Letts winning the ACC over him. I found it interesting that Henrich barely beat Peltier in our dual. I'd go with Letts, he could be the NCAA champ next year.

    pt 3 (!)
We attacked the fever and stomach problems with motrin and pepto bismal pills, and he drank a decent amount of diluted gatorade, but he puked up about a 1/2 gallon 20 minutes after his final match, then climbed into bed and went to sleep for about 12 hours. Didn't even want to go to the Area 11 party given for all place winners! I was up all night worrying about him and feeling terrible that I had been giving him grief for not using his best offensive tools, before I realized how sick he was. Of course he wouldn't hear of not competing, when I gave him the offer before we started. For me that just confirmed that he was just anxious, but I was wrong. To be honest, it makes me that much more proud of the little dude. Here is the link if you care to check out Desmonds progression. 12 & Under, 145 lbs. http://65.61.23.146/tournaments/09%2...mpionships.pdf
Hope all else is going well.

    pt.2 (I was being long winded )
My son took 2nd, losing in the finals 1-0 on a 30 sec ride-out in the 3rd overtime! On the way there, he beat the defending champion, and two other area champs. He had 3 triple OT matches in all. After his finals match, he looked like a child abuse victim, black eye, big scrape across his chin, bruises on his forearms...And, get this (and I wouldn't put this out in public because it sounds like sour grapes and I believe he lost fair and square to a great kid and buddy of his in the finals) but he wrestled the whole tournament sick as a dog from food poisoning! He ate something bad at an all-you-can-shovel down kind of joint and 1st started complaining of diarrhea the night before wrestling started, then woke up with a fever of 101.5 and a headache.

    Hey Brother Russ,
Can't trade backups?!? That is an odd rule. I'd be pissed too! We can trade anyone we want to in our league. I suggest you come on over to "Jensenville" next year bro. Our commish is wise!

Sorry for the long delay in responding to your post (I know you said you just needed to vent, but I don't like to leave my buddies hanging), but as you may have read, I was in Erie, PA all weekend at the State Jr. wrestling championships. Russ, I have wrestled in just about every major tournament in the US and the world -NCAA's D1,D2 & D3; Midlands; Las Vegas Open, US Open Freestyle & Greco, US Jr. Nationals (Iowa city before it was moved to Fargo), Western Jr. Regionals, Olympic & world team trials, Sunkist open...) and I have rarely seen wrestling as heated and as intense as the PA Junior States! Man, this kids (ages 10 & Under, 12 & U, 14 & U) really go at it, good technique, hard and aggressive, stalling calls are enforced, it was awesome!

Russ, I'm not seeing much time in the near future for me to be commish of a league like this. With work and starting a family I forsee this being a pretty hectic year for me. I think you would make a great commish though. You are always on top of mistakes and I think you have alot of good ideas to make the league fun but not too complicated. I hope you will consider doing it. I am looking forward to doing this again next year.

Same here Russ. I will keep in touch but its FS season. Later!!

Just got free from partying. Game over My bro kicked his ass. We are the champions.

TF for 5, two decisions for three, a major for four

    Thats 15 points

Then 9 points placement for taking 4th and its 24. I dont know that anyone else in my league is scoring anywhere near the points I am. I have 10 aas and most of them are 3rd/4th.

Imagine how pissed you would be if I had sent you Herbst and Fio for Nickerson. Haha that would have been an awesome deal for me. Actually Herbst still managed to get 2 pins, so they did combine for 18 points. However, Nickerson has 31 going into the finals.

I just sent you an email with the file. Let me know if you see any errors.

3,3,0,3,0,6 his matches (zeros are losses) and then 4 placement points.

I miss-added. I have 214 points, while Tigerfan has 204. Still anyone's ballgame considering all 4 of his guys have solid shots of winning in the finals. Three of mine have solid shots, and I have a little more potential down in the consis, so it will get interesting. Kennedy vs. Ness will be key.

I like where I am, but Tigerfan is definitely still in it. He also has 4 finalists. I think it will come down to bonus points.
