The hardest ones to beat are those that have years more of expirience and are significantly stronger than you. Not that I know any of them... ... ok, maybe I know a few...

The hardest guys to wrestle are the ones that have really good defense and do just enough not to get called for stalling because they never really open up to give you a chance to capitalize on a mistake.

Tall skinny guys with no muscle but an extra gyro-scope-never off balance and you think you are in deep on a shot and they sprawl 'til a stalemate is called -the kind you kinda laugh at during weigh in thinking you got a fish and you end up losing 3-1-HATED wrestling storks ...

That was always the thing. As the tall, lanky guy, I just couldn't get my body to do the things that the shorter stockier guys could do. On my feet, it was always a challenge to score, unless I could get people "stood up" when I could work drags or throw bys, or a throw.

On the mat, it was like I had 15 gyroscopes. It was all about leverage. Which is about all the natural ability I had.

The hardest guys to face, for me, were average build guys who were taller, spent a lot of time in the weight room, and were quick. Obviously, they have to have technique too, but they were much harder because they were almost as tall as I was, so they didn't have to content with that right away. Because they were stronger, I had to be careful about staying in perfect position, which once again, on my feet was a challenge.

Short strong guys, Short guys with amazing technique, didn't matter. It might be a 3-1 match, if they figured out not to wrestle on the mat.

I think that it really depends on who the wrestler is. I wrestled this short stocky guy before who happened to be ridiculously strong, but the hardest part about him was his center of gravity. He didn't have a low center of gravity which is good for shots, and he didn't have a high center of gravity either for me to throw him. So if I had to say, it is probably more about center of gravity than it is about boxy type.

Any very good wrestler is hard to beat if you wrestle their match, but if you make them wrestle your match then 99% of the time it is a win.

Being that im very tall for a wrestler (6'8 at 215) i hate wrestling kids that are very aggressive and always looking for a shot. Since i have to hand fight and look for collar ties to set up my moves usually, when they refuse to let me stalk around the circle and look for my oppourtunity and just dive for my anklesm it drives me crazy.

So i usually just end up feeding the bread basket and snap and spinning the hell out of them.

This was my first year and I found the hardest one was the guy who was very intimidating. He was not everywhere at once just slowly circling you waiting for a mistake. Very hard to discribe......... Few! I just missed wrestling him in states!
