Countering guys who wrestle off the elbow

How do you counter someone who's main offense is elbow offs, and elbow passes from my collar tie? I look for ankle picks a lot, usually from collar and a wrist, but lately in practice there's a kid who neutralizes some of my offense by wrestling off the elbow. There's a few schools around that teach it, and I don't want to be getting my elbow passed all day while I'm looking for my offense.

How do you counter it? A deep collar tie, to where you could grab the guys ear and elbow in his chest or what?

Don't hang on the collar tie. If you're going to go to his head with a collar tie, pull down on it. If you hang there, good guys will punish you. Use your hands to pull his head down, and move your feet to set up your shots. You also want to be deep in with your collar tie, like you said earlier. If your elbow is hanging out and to the side, it's easy for him to control it. But, if you're jamming it into his chest and pulling him with it, it's much harder for him to do anything. If you find that you're hanging on the collar in a match, change your tie up to something else.

Thanks for your help bro. I worked on keeping my collar tie tight and elbow and forearm to his chest and always pulling on the head and it worked great, he never scored on me and I scored a lot off my ankle picks.
