We have Google to thank for opening our eyes to a new wrestling movie in theaters after running into an advertisement for ?Win Win.?

A year ago, thousands of people watched Alex Shaffer wrestle his way to a New Jersey High School State Championship.* This year, millions could see the Raritan Township (NJ) resident wrestle on the big screen as Kyle in the new movie ?Win Win.?

After making just two movies ? ?The Station Agent? and ?The Visitor? ? writer-director Tom McCarthy once again explores the depths and nuances of human relationships in his new film about the allegiances and bonds between unlikely characters. * Disheartened attorney Mike Flaherty, who volunteers as a high school wrestling coach, stumbles across a star athlete through some questionable business dealings while trying to support his family.* Just as it looks like he will get a double payday, the boy?s mother shows up fresh from rehab and flat broke, threatening to derail everything.* McCarthy?s touch with balancing drama and comedy, broken hearts and poignant humanity is at play in Win Win.

Paul Giamatti stars as Mike, a New Jersey lawyer and father with two daughters who decides to care for an elderly man (Burt Young) in order to receive a lofty commission.* What he doesn?t count on is Kyle (Alex Shaffer), the man?s grandson who comes to live with him.* Mike, a part-time high school wrestling coach, soon learns that the chain-smoking, moody Kyle is a world-class wrestler, and he brings him onto the team.* As you would expect, complications result.

So it?s part family comedy, part wrestling drama and part legal drama, and somehow it all works together.

The phrase ?must see? is overused in the movie industry.* But with Win Win, it absolutely applies.

Win Win went over so well at the Sundance Film Festival, that Fox Searchlight Pictures picked up the release and the movie is now showing in theaters.* Win Win is rated R for language.
