I posted something similar in the past, but with the season upon us I need some advice.
My son is a freshman and this is his third season wrestling on the high school team. He has been under the care of an endocrinologist for the past 5 years. He is not undergoing hormone therapy and has finally started to grow (WOO HOO). The endocrinologist was ok with him dropping to 112, but was concerned about a drop to 103, which is being recommended by his coach. He started at about 119. He is around 5'3" tall.
I don't really care if he wrestles JV this year but I cannot let him do anything that can affect his future height. How should I handle this with the coach? I am not asking for advice about whether he should drop to 103, I would like to know how to tell the coach that he will NOT be dropping to 103.
Round of 12
Just let him know of his condition and that his doctor advices against it. He should understand.

"You miss 100% of shots you don't take."
Update. Yesterday he went for his weight assessment. His minimum weight class is 112. I guess the weight assessment did what it was supposed to do.
