Cael won Olympic Gold basically wrestling folkstyle against the freestylers. He had the potential as we all saw and reaffirmed when he beat our representative this year - after being retired for more than half a decade.

If he had kept at it would we have seen him winning his third Olympic Gold this time?

Such a shame to see great talent not compete.

To answer the question: Maybe. I certainly believe it's possible. Would he have done better than Herbert? Almost unquestionably, but that's not a new revelation.

Maybe you should get over your weird obsession with Cael. Focus more on promoting the ones who are actually wrestling. Bitching about how Cael's absence is a waste of talent will not put people in seats. Talking about the domination of Burroughs or how Varner stepped up might. Heck, just promoting Jake Herbert as a human would draw people in to root for him. You aren't fooling anyone. This is just another thread created for you to criticize Cael Sanderson. Get over it. He's retired. Move on.
