President Martinetti oiled? :) July 6-8, at Edirne, Turkey, the annual Kirkpinar festival will be held which is the biggest oil wrestling tourney attracting around a thousand wrestlers and thousends of spectators.
This year, the organizers have invited FILA president Raphael Martinetti as a special guest and he is going to attend the tourney.
Question is - will he only attend it and sit in the VIP lounge or also get oiled and wrestle?Possibly vs. Olympic heavyweight champ Mahmut Demir.
Yesterday, the mayor of Edirne officially presented the leather wrestling trousers of president Martinetti and champ Demir, plus the contested golden belt.
