Does his participation at the Arab Games mean that what Egyptian newspapers wrote a month or two ago was not based just on rumors?! Gaber moving to WWE.
There have been rumors about this for a long time. But recently, sport reporters in Egypt gave some new details. They wrote Vince McMahon disliked the initial idea of "staging" a match of the Olympic champs (Gaber v Angle) and prefered to introduce Gaber not as Olympic champ, but as the "Champ of Arabia" which would give to Gaber's performances some political connotations (the recent uprisings and regime change in Egypt, Lybia, Tunisia, plus currently in Syria). More than a month ago, they wrote winning the Arab Games would be a prerequisite (necessary for image making) to getting the role "Champ of Arabia" in WWE events.

yessss gaber will be at 84 tomorrow. also kvirkvelia weighed in at 84. if they win their matches in the first 2 rounds, they'll face each other in the 1/4finals.
74kg olympic champ vs 96kg olympic champ. )))
not easy for kvirkvelia. he will have opponents from Sweden/Armenia.

the big match didn't take place.
gaber lost his second match to adomaitis of lithuania'(who later lost in the semis). i don't know kvirkvelias results. he must have lost to the same guy adomaitis in the quarters, if not already in the preliminaries.
