74 kg- world championship predictions
We already have a "Burroughs vs Tsargush" thread. While everyone is probably hoping for this matchup, Goudrazi and Chamasurlaev (if he shows up- what's going on with him?) are arguably favored over the American as well. I think Chama, wrestling at his best, has a legitimate chance to knock off "the golden pylon". It's a pretty weak weight, to be honest, I don't think too many others have a legitimate chance at gold, but you never know.

This is definetly a match between Gourdazi and Tsargush, with Tsargush probably winning.

It's unquestionably weaker than 96, 66, 60. It's not as deep as 120 or 84 so in my opinion not as strong. 55kg is the only weaker weight class and this year 55 seems to have more depth albeit no studs like Tsargush.

aze 74 - ashraf aliev, not chamsulvaraev.

Re: 74 kg- world championship predictions
What are Aliev's accomplishments other than 5th at 2009 Grand Prix, 9th 2008 Grand Prix and runner-up to Murtazaliev in this May's Aliev tournament? Also, how old is he? Couldn't find much info. Chamuslvaraev is late 20s I think, has he had an impressive performance since 2009 Worlds?

Re: 74 kg- world championship predictions
weaker my but, this is one of the hardest, there soo many studs, the only reason you might think it isnt as stacked is because there isnt as many world champions right? saitiev is the one to blame for that, plus its because of him that russia has made a new monster at 74 in denis tsargush, you guys say 74 is weak, i strongly disagree, ppl have moved up an down to avoid this weight

Exactly!! People moving away from 74 goes against your argument that it's strong now! Who from Satiev's days that would have won a world title is still around now? Chamsulvaraev won a bronze medal in 2007 but he's no longer representing Azerbaijan. Tigiev won silver at 2008 Olympics but he moved up, Aldatov the 2006 champ and '07 runner-up moved up, Saitiev retired, a few other top guys retired, Fundora isn't the same that he used to be, etc etc. 74kg of course has extremely tough wrestlers, so does every single weight in the world at the World level for years, but relatively speaking it's not a strong weight. Who are these soooo many studs? Looks like two studs to me Tsargush and Goudarzi. Most other weights have more. The people who avoided this weight did it last cycle and not because of a single wrestler that's here today, so that point just doesn't add to your argument.
