I don't see him not making the team either but stranger things have happened especially since he hasn't been actively competing for quite some time. The rules have changed a lot since he retired.

Considering his regional exposure was something many of us mistook for a takedown clinic I would think odds of him taking the top spot are pretty good.

Wonder how Penn State will be as a team through all this? Could go one of two ways. Too much distraction... or a major incentive to be as good as the Coach. Apparently the University is behind him or I doubt he would even try it. Can only help the program to see the Coach step on the mat for real.

What he did to Jack Jensen looked easier than drilling. I think he wrecks herbert personally. Wouldn't be surprised if one of the guys in the challenge tourney give him some trouble.
