Looks like Anspach will be going at it with his training partner, but it will be Varner, not Sigman. i'm excited to see how he does against this weight class.

As I mentioned in the other thread this is an interesting move.
Don't think he'd cut all that weight unless he felt he has a shot against Varner. That is my guess what the case is. If he is on par w/ Varner watch out!
Go Hawkeyes.
Not going to be much of a threat. The athletes are just much better at 96 than HWT. If Anspach was full-sized HWT, I'd think he had a shot.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.
One, two, Evans is coming for you...
I don't see him as a title threat at either weight. I could see him making the national team at 96 though.
About the athleticism at heavy... I think that's true in some cases, but not really this year. Mocco, Dlagnev and Rowlands are all impressive athletes to me.
Who was the last guy to be top 1-2 on the national level after moving down from HWT? I can only think of Rowlands making that move recently, and he certainly stuggled there.
Bergman wrestled heavy in college and then dropped to 96 kg. He wasn't a big heavy though
He wrestled HWT for his senior year only. 197 the first 3.
