The site fails to mention that Comrade Stalin gave orders to Russian coaches to start developing freestyle since there was no freestyle wrestling in Soviet Union until after the WWII. Stalin also gave orders to place special emphasis on HWTS in both styles. Stalin felt Soviet Union had to win HWT divisions especially as a show of Soviet might. As a result, you have the only 3 time Olympic champions in both styles at HWT and from Soviet Union. This info is from the Russian site.
