The Iranian at 60 kilos moves on without much trouble. He's a guy who looms as a possible quarterfinal opponent for Zadick.

Kudukhov wins his first match over the French wrestler without any trouble.

Zadick gives up a chest lock exposure and loses the first period 3-1. Second period going to a ball draw without an offensive attempt from either guy, Zadick loses the draw...Zadick gets his foot down and clamps on a front headlock. The Korean dumps him and its scored 2 for him. Zeke challenges, and the challenge is overruled. Korean wins it 3-1/3-0.

Disappointing.

Guidea (Bulgarian who beat Bunch last year) moves on at 60.

Ganev moves on at 84 kilos

Mansurov wins the ball draw in the third period against Fedoryshyn, but Fedoryshyn is able to successfully defend in the splits and eventually chest lock Mansurov over for the two and the win. Uzbeks are challenging it, but it shouldn't matter given that Fedoryshyn defended the clinch. Whatever the challenge was it doesn't work. Fedoryshyn wins.

Glad Fedorishin beat Mansurov, can't wait to see that one. Disapppointing to hear about Zadick. He kicked out of the clinch and STILL got beat? When are the big guys up?

Ktsoev wins in straight periods at 84, finishes the match off in consecutive periods by bombing his opponent for 5. Aldatov wins as well.

Franklin Gomez goes down in 3 periods to the Georgian wrestler. The Georgian will wrestle Fedoryshyn in his next match.

Man... Danny Brown got 5'd twice? There's now way he was gonna beat Ksotev, but still, that's rough.

I don't know about both periods. Ktsoev won both periods, but finished the match with the 5 pointer. Probably could have typed that a little better.

Bichinashvili wins at 84, he'll wrestle Ktsoev next round.

Can someone explain to me why Iran has sent Amiri when they could have sent either Abrahimi or Yazdani? Maybe I am being ignorant but in my books these two both seem superior wrestlers to Amiri.
