Default 2010 Moscow World Wrestling Championships: Women's 55/59/63 KG Discussion

    All women tomorrow.

Padilla is in the same quarter as Saori Yoshida so while barring a huge upset that takes her out of finals contention it almost assures that she'll have a shot in the repechage.

Kelsey Campbell is in the bottom half of the bracket at 59 and she stays away from Shoda who is up top and Filipava and Mattson who while they're on the bottom side they're in the opposite quarter.

Elena is on the bottom of the bracket at 63 and like Campbell it looks like she's got a pretty solid draw. Icho is up top and then the Russian and Bulgarian are in the opposite quarter.

Will look to follow the US girls tomorrow and Yoshida who is just an animal.

Campbell picks up a couple of TD's in the third to win the period, win the match, and advance to the semi's at 59 KG.

Runs US record today to 5-0

Padilla drops the first match of the day, its to Yoshida so its not a huge deal.

Yoshida being a 7x World Champion and 2x Olympic champion you've got to figure has a pretty good shot at pulling Padilla back into medal contention.

Shoda goes down in the first big upset of the day (also will prevent Japan from running the table in the first five weights) to the Mongolian wrestler.

Pirozhkova wins her semi over the Russian in odd fashion. Defended the clinch successfully to win the first period. Then Russia was in deep on a single at the end of the second period but Pirozhkova defended.

Russia challenged for some reason. They lost the challenge thereby giving Pirozhkova the point to win the period and the match.
