I am 49, bald, ugly, and don't own a single cool thing. Kids like me though.
I reserve the right to change these when the brackets come out.
55: Namik Sevdimov (AZE)
60: Zelimkhan Guseinov (AZE)
66: Mehdi Taghavi (IRI)
74: Denis Tsargush (RUS)
84: Abdul Ammaev (UZB)
96: Khetag Gazyumov (AZE)
120: Tervel Dlagnev (USA)
You really like someone over Kudukhov?
Guseinov has the freaking ability to make people caution out on the clinch. Both Bunch (at the grand prix) and Batriov (in the Euro finals) won the ball grab in the 3rd period and managed to get themselves cautioned.
I still pick Kudukhov though, and I hope he wins because he's a lot of fun to watch.
Good pick quick single on Taghavi at 66kg. This could be his year. He looked stellar at the World Cup. Think Tsargush has what it takes to win Sr worlds his first time at it?
Yes and yes.
Mine will be posted over on themat.com's Journalist predictions, but I left the stupid file on another computer, so I can't remember what they are. When Gary Abbott posts that story, I'll re-post my picks here.
I'm in the airport heading to Denmark shortly!
<peace> (since it's shamelessly promoting myself going to worlds ... nanny, nanny, boo boo)
im surprised im the only one who thinks fedorshin will win, he has close matches with mavlet batirov everytime and has beaten everyone else, he LAUNCHED guida (bulgarian 2nd to mavlet at 07 WC) to win the europeans, he won that iranian league thing, khudukov is good but i dont think he will be able to get in on fedorshins legs
