I went with more guys from power conferences this year ... something that's a byproduct of everyone in this league being MUCH more aware of guys from smaller conferences, programs. Gem picks like LoSt's Josh Patterson pick a few years ago ... they're few and far between because everyone's educated.

Makes the draft soooo much more irritating, but a lot more balanced.

I'm still trying to figure who I actually drafted, how they spell their names and what schools they go too. Picking Chamberlain in the 3rd round not knowing he wasnt going to wrestle was pretty stupid of me. Not knowing Swartz was going 184 is going to hurt too. I'm open to trades at 197 for Yohn and Swartz at 184 and looking for solid solid help at 149. Still wondering what Deitchler is all about and I feel like I got a steal with Sorenson in the late middle rounds.

125: Mark Rappo, Ty Mitch

Rappo and Frank Perrelli were my 2A and 2B targets at this weight coming into the draft, so I'm satisfied here. Ty Mitch provides a lot of matches during the first half of the year and some solid upside.

133: Devin Carter, Joe Stanzione

Getting Carter back in the 12th round was a nice reward for one of the rare occasions where I was right about a sleeper last year. It took a while to come back to me, but I remembered that Stanzione was solid last year filling in for Grey before he got sick. Cornell always has a guy or two break out each year.

141: Michael Mangrum

Have been gradually talking myself into this pick. Not the flashiest guy in the world in the way of results, but he just gets things done usually. Weight in his conference has cleared out save for Boris and he wrestles a lot.

149: Mario Mason

Weight class is a wasteland. Could easily be in the finals in March against the one who chose down. Wrestles a ton like Rutgers always does.

157: Corey Mock

Like I said during the draft I'm just hoping he performs better than the last UNC middleweight that I drafted onto my team.

165: Josh Asper, Nick Sulzer

My best weight class. I think Asper is runner up to Taylor here, and Sulzer has been on my list of sleeper guys since I put my picks together this summer.

174: Nick Amuchastegui, Lee Munster

While initially I would have rather seen Munster at 184 to provide line up depth for me there, coming down to 174 which is by far a worse weight class could pay off a lot. After Amuchastegui, Ruth, and Blanton I don't see anyone there that he necessarily couldn't beat.

184: Chris Perry

I keep telling myself to think about Jordan Oliver. The problem with that is that Oliver was a lot better as a freshman than Perry was.

197: Brent Haynes, Luke Macchiaroli

Two solid guys here. Haynes has excelled at putting up bonus points especially at early season competitions which will hopefully be a nice boost to start the year off. Macchiaroli is arguably the Pac-12 favorite at 197 so getting him in the 14th could be a steal.

285: Mike McMullan

Tony Nelson was my original target here at this weight, but if I couldn't get him McMullan was my fallback option. Was good last year as a redshirt so I'm happy to have him on my team.
