That's a big reason why I have no issue with the trade. I think Perrelli will be every bit as good as Nicholson is this year.

I think some of you put way too much stock in AA credentials. This is a better trade for Payton in my opinion.

I think Perrelli is as good or better then Nicholson, and he will be wrestling a full schedule this year (Nicholson wont be). And neither Torsten or Vinson are AA threats, in my mind, while Vinson has a better schedule then Torsten

Every returning All-American is an AA threat. Shane Webster -- All-American as a freshman, didn't place the next two years -- national champion as a senior. Torsten's a returning All-American who had a great tournament.

Nicholson's beaten Perrelli in their only meeting. For fantasy purposes, I can see it, slightly.

Vinson could conceivably wrestle 40 matches-he had as good a record as Torsten last year -I threw Nicholson in to sweeten the deal-are ANY of the parties involved going to win the championship-NO , but there are other ways to score points .

I love it when returning all americans who accomplished the feat with Metcalf, Palmer, and Ruschell in the weight aren't threats in the same weight the next year that won't feature those 3.

Also, look at the fringe guys for this weight: Cheza, Nadhir, Albert White, Kinser. Really? Torsten cant hang with any of them?

I'm not guaranteeing an AA finish but to say he's not a threat is wrong.
