B) Keeping A Wrestler.
As a reward for good drafting, GM's may elect to retain one wrestler from one year to the next, provided that the wrestler is eligible.
i) Eligibility. To keep a wrestler, you must have drafted him (and not traded for him or picked him up out of free agency) the previous year, kept him on your roster the entire season, and he must have competed for his school in the starting lineup. Wrestlers drafted in the first or second rounds are not eligible to be retained.
ii) Cost of Keeping a Wrestler. The retained wrestler will cost a draft pick, the round of which will be two rounds higher than the wrestler was drafted the previous year. For example, if someone were to draft Joe Schmoe in the 7th round this year, they would be able to keep him in lieu of their 5th round pick the following year, and the 3rd round after that, and the 1st round after that. This is why wrestlers originally drafted in the first or second rounds are not eligible to be retained.
If you have any doubt to whether or not you can keep a wrestler, post it and we'll figure it out
