All Star Points Change?

I saw JensenS is looking to change their all star scoring system and I think our league should follow suit. It's a change we'd surely make next year anyways. Would anyone be against adopting some sort of scoring change?

Gold may be against it since he was unable to draft one all start selection. Other than that, I don't see why we cant make not be a complete punishment for your guy to compete in this event.

It's a great idea to reward these guys for going out to this meet to promote wrestling and take on another top guy but this should be addressed out of season. I don't like the idea of changing rules after we started so I think it should be changed for next year. If you decide to change this year you must be open to other possible changes, opens a can of worms in my opinion.

I agree with RD. I like the idea of adding a bonus, but it's got to wait until next year. So far, we've resisted temptations to change rules after the season has started, and I think that's a good precedent to protect.

Against it. Who's to say Gold didn't draft specifically to avoid the possibility of sending someone to the All-Star match? We all knew the rules, no changes now.

I hate to sound like a tyrant, but we're not going to change it this year.

I left the rule modifications thread open for the entire offseason, and reminded everyone multiple times before the draft to read over the rules one more time to see if they had any suggestions. There were plenty of opportunities to make this change, but we didn't do it in the appropriate time.

I promise this has nothing to do with the fact that I (currently) have no one wrestling in it; that doesn't matter to me at all. It's just really not a good idea to change the rules after the fantasy season has started. Even though this is relatively small and makes a lot of sense, it sort of opens Pandora's box. We made that mistake our first year, and it really caused a lot of turmoil, people got pissed off, some quit, etc.

Is there a rule that rules cant be made during season? If there's not a rule in place, can we make that rule? But how to make that rule if rules cannot be made during the season is the question? O'doyle Rules!
