Conference tournaments

Did we decide if we were going to let the winner of the conference week in? And if so, how are we going to count the tournament week since not all conference tournaments are in the same week?

As of yet, we made no such decision.

Feel free to start the poll if you want, though. I thought about doing it myself, but I don't want to seem like I'm pushing for it since I could potentially be the benefactor. It would take 6 "Yes" votes for such a thing to pass.

Honestly, as much as it would probably help me, we only have 10 people participating at this point, and 6/10 in the playoffs is probably pretty generous already. It pains me to say that.

Don't think we should be doing this 2 weeks before. This is a rule that should have been set in place way before now.

There have been other things mentioned that were not able to be changed since we didn't do it in the middle of the season. I don't think we should give the guy who stocks up on the most So. Con guys a shot at the playoffs.

As Gold said there already are 2 guys who basically didn't play so there are still over half of us that are going to make the playoffs. If you didn't make the top 6 out of 10 then you really don't deserve to make it.

I say all this being on the bubble with an insanely good conference lineup

hvy EIWA runner up-steele could very well win it.
Flex: Ruschell or Meade-2 studs in good weights but one will make the finals probably.

If you guys wanna tangle with that go for it but I'm not seeing anyone comparable.

184: sort of a weak spot for conferences, but either of my guys could sneak into the finals

The fact is a lot of people are going to have a lot of conference champs. It's going to come down to which wrestlers are the best on that day.

There were other things that you said no to because we should have decided on it beforehand. That's how you HAVE done it, it's how Jensens DOES it and you shouldn't go back on what was your current policy.

It's ridiculous you won't take an hour late lineup(when it has no bearing whatsoever on the competition and is just a random time) because you are a "stickler" and you are willing to add a playoff spot that clearly(though i dont think) would be to your benefit. Think about how this looks man.

You both make good points. I like the rule because I benifited from it last year, but it was the rule from the beggining of the season last year as well. I'm inclined to say that we shouldnt have it because it is very late in the game to make this decision. Had we made a decision to let that person in when we first talked about it I would be for it. It's a tough call, I say the more the merrier but then that makes the regular season basically meaningless if we let seven of basically eight guys in.
