Hazard (Robinson HS) won three of his four matches to finish second at 142 pounds. The runner-up at 142 at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships each of the past two seasons, Hazard defeated Virginia Tech's Jeremy Harbaugh (13-3), Navy's Mike Stabile (9-5) and Rutgers' Eugene Bashmachenko (11-8) before falling to West Virginia's Dorian Hager, 13-3, in the finals.
