Pinning Down Autism on the front page of the Wrestling Mall
Pinning Down Autism is now featured on the front page of The Wrestling Mall! Check it out, as well as the letter from the founder at http://thewrestlingmall.com/htmls/ne...t=4&View=15517.
We are looking for participants for the takedown tourney on May 12th so tell anyone who might be interested. It should be a really fun time.
There are several divisions for wrestlers of all ages: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, High School, Open, and Veterans (Over 30 years old).
The tournament will be held in conjunction with a BBQ. Yankee and Met tickets, wrestling gear, other prizes will be awarded to the wrestlers with most total points scored. Other items such as autographed baseballs will be awarded as raffle prizes.
Spread the word!
Highest gratitude goes out to and to Danielle and Matt for bring the issue to the forefront!
The response has already been tremendous and it's only been a couple of days. Our inaugural event is still two weeks away.
What I hadn't realized was how many people in the wrestling world are in a position of raising children with special needs and who each seemed to be isolated in their situation. Hopefully Pinning Down Autism can also serve as a place where we can stand up for one another when necessary.
Regards to all!

DH and Jason...I posted this on the other string:
DH, my wife is a Group Manager with Discovery Toys, and they have been doing some amazing things in the last year with AutismSpeaks. She has been involved with the local chapter(Lehigh Valley, PA) and would be glad to send along some brochures and put you in touch with local DT reps who can help explain how these developmental toys can aid in the fight to pin down autism.
Jason, she took your number off the application for the Staten Island Tournament and will call you to see how we can help.
We are happy to announce that three style All-American Carl Fronhofer will be joining us at our tournament on May 12th to sign autographs and support Pinning Down Autism.
You coming over to Petrides on the 12th to wrestle? I spoke with an open division heavyweight today from New Jersey who is coming down. Pretty sure of another heavyweight or two. Madison weights so no upper limit.
Even if you don't wrestle you'll want to eat at the BBQ. The grill master for this event is the same guy that hosted the 2004 womens Olympic team at his house when they were in town for their training camp. The contingent agreed that he made "the best sausages they ever had".
I can't believe Big hasn't replied to this yet... especially with his love for sausages!
