Default Ben Berhow named Volunteer Asst for the Hawks

I liked Berhow as a wrestler and as a workout partner for Tony Nelson so I am kind of sad to see him leave the Gopher room but best of luck to him and the Hawks.

Everyone should reach out to Herkey as we all know Mr Berhow is one of his alltime favorites! .

And suddenly Telford becomes a winner. Life just isn't fair.

    I just don't see it...David Thorn is not elite. I don't think he'll place"

Some would think a Freshman All American was already a winner.

Good for Big Ben and big loss for Nelson and the Gophs.

Indeed. Wish Ben the best of luck, always admired what he was able to accomplish during his career despite the lack of AA finish.

He wasn't even supposed to start.

This is a great move by dem Hawkeyes! Minnesota has the best coaching staff for the development of heavyweights in the country. Big Ben has been through their training and will be a good training partner for Bobby T. and other upcoming heavyweights. I don't think the loss of a training partner will hurt Tony Nelson......but the knowledge that Big Ben takes on Tony could help Bobby T. develop a plan to beat him.

Good luck in your new position Big Ben. Minnesota fans will never forget your backflip single defense to win the Wisconsin dual!
