Thread: Remember those predictions?

    Default Remember those predictions?

I analyzed JensenS, Zapp, and CP's NCAA predictions for AA's and for placings. As a base measurement I used the seedings which correctly predicted 59 AA's and 17 placers out of the 80 possible.

JensenS did the best with 61 AA's and 22 placers. He edged CP who had 61 AA's and 20 placers. In a distant third was Zapp with 53 AA's and 16 placers.

    I just don't see it...David Thorn is not elite. I don't think he'll place"

I'm the boss round these parts for a reason.

Cool of you to run these through.

In all seriousness, thanks for counting these.

What I learned is that regardless of how good you are at this most weights you are probably going to get 6 or so right. There is at least 1 "WTF not placer" and another coin flip guy that doesn't get on there.

There's about 10 guys I would never pick to not place, that didn't. I'm sure Jensen had a lot of the same guys. McD, Steinhaus, Hanke, Mangrum, Napoli to name a few.

Things like Napoli going 2 and BBQ are next to impossible to predict.

Yeah, totally should have called the McD DNP and Telford getting his knee shredded. They were so obvious.

I dont understand what is meant by "placers." Is that the right guy at the right placement?

Yes. If you picked a guy to be 4th he has to place 4th to get a correct placing.

You must have missed my predictions:

McDonough might as well lose early and get it over with
Felix over Telford probably not an upset
