Oh I don't doubt that, I thought the discussion is if he's at 133 this season because of Malone. I figure after wrestling 133 the figured the cut to 125 wore on him at the end of last year. He certainly faded a bit at the end of last season, though the Big Ten schedule had quite a bit to do with that.

But then again, like you said he is quite short but certainly well built. It's all a bit confusing...

How can you be a 3x PA state champ and 2x prep champ? Maybe they are talking about freestyle titles? Is he a true freshman?
I'm puzzled by the 3x PIAA champ and 2x prep champ as well. He wrestled for Wyoming Seminary which is a private school. Not sure how he won a PIAA championship, wrestling for a prep school. Also note that he's from Connecticut. His first state championship at 103 in 2008 would have had to have been his 8th grade year. In PA you can't compete on varsity in 8th grade. I wonder if he started his HS career in Connecticut where he won his first couple of state championships before transferring to Wyoming Seminary in PA. Much too much thought spent on this--but once you start working on a puzzle. . . And yes, he is a true FR.

In my opinion Harger has the ability to finish in the top 8 by the years end

Harger is another guy who could place higher in the NCAA's than the B1G as happened in several weight classes last year.

If Malone is a true FR, I'm back in the camp thinking Mele decided to move to 133. Because 1) why woulnd't he wrestle off and 2) if it was close why wouldn't they just redshirt Malone?
