You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

Some are complete guesses. I think that lots of matches could go either way. I'm actually really excited for this, and not just because of the Dake vs Taylor.

You've got the wrong Dardanes at 133.

And Chris beat Schopp without much in the way of issues last year at NCAA's

    Is Dardanes-Schopp official? If so:

    Delgado
    Dardanes
    Maple
    Chamberlain
    Welch
    Dake
    Blanton
    Hamlin
    Wilps
    Bradley
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

that's some serious Penn State Hate! 4 guys in, 4 guys lose. Ouch.

Megaludis 29 - 8 losses to McD, Sanders, Mele (an unusual matchup for anyone at 125), Perelli (sort of his nemesis last year), and the DQ while winning.
Delgado 34 - 8 losses to McD, Sanders, Mele (but got him back later), Mango, Garnett, Bedelyon.

Welch and Alton split last year, with Alton winning the more recent match

We all know about Taylor and Dake

Wilps 34-5 at 197 losses to Honeycutt (A few times), Powless, Byers
Wright 30 - 4 at 184 Steinhaus, Hamlin, Ihnen (brain fart loss), and Bosak

The first two have to look like toss-ups to me, and probably all four. I'm interested in all four, but especially the 197 matchup. I'm curious how Q's style will match up against full strength & experienced 197 pounders. I'm not saying it is crazy to pick PSU to lose all four, it just seems unlikely to me that they won't get one win in the bunch.

125-Nico Megaludis (Penn State) s Jesse Delgado (Illinois)
JD had the better record, Nico had the better tourney. Toss up I have to take the homer pick.

    133-A.J. Schopp VS. Chris Dardanes
If what jensenS said is true then Dardanes is the no brainer but I will go "homer" pick with the PA boy from Tyrone.

141-Kendric Maple (Oklahoma) vs BJ Futrell (Illinois)
Maple has to be the fav this year

149-Jason Chamberlain (Boise State) vs Nick Lester (Oklahoma)
I am sure JC will be hungry after his RS.

157-Dylan Alton (Penn State) vs Jason Welch (Northwestern)
Ooh another toss up involving a PSU guy. have to go homer pick again. No surprise!

165-Kyle Dake (Cornell) vs David Taylor (Penn State)Ok
I will have to go against the homer pick now. In a close one but for some reason I do not see a rematch in the NCAAs.

174-Jordan Blanton (Illinois) vs Josh Asper (Maryland)
    Asper. just a gut pick.

184-Robert Hamlin (Lehigh) vs Kevin Steinhaus (Minnesota)
Ooh another good one. I really like the Vermonster but have to go with the Gopher.

197-Quentin Wright (Penn State) vs Matt Wilps (Pittsburgh)
Its not March. I love Q but I think that the weight jump might prove rough in the early part of the season. I hope I am wrong.

285-Dom Bradley (Missouri) vs Mike McMullan (Northwestern)

Hard to pick against Dom I think.

Why would what I said not be true?

Chris beat him 7-3 in the second round. It was one of the easiest "upset" picks (10 over 7) in the entire bracket last year.

I'll give a crack at the all-star predictions:

125--Delgado I pick Delgado the first time, but Megaludis at NCAA's
    133--Dardanes
    141--Maple
    149--Chamberlain
    157--Welch (but D Alton by NCAA's again)
    165--Taylor
    174--Asper
    184--Hamlin
197--Wilps (but QW at NCAA's--noticing a pattern here?)
    Hwt--Bradley
