It'll be interested to see how it translates.

This will be the second year in a row Nebraska will have had a kid who absolutely owned the world as a redshirt join their line up and while Kokesh was solid last year, he wasn't a podium.

The difference between 165 and 285 though could definitely be what does it for Longendyke though.

Nebraska has been throwing out some pretty good FR lately--Kokesh, Green & Sueflohn last year. They've got a rare tough South Carolina recruit this year in #1 ranked Tim Dudley at 195. I expect he'll RS. Do we have any Nebraska supporters on this board? Can't recall any posting.

Longendyke was 34-10 while redshirting.......and I didn't see a single marquee win on his record.
I predict he'll be 8th in the Big Ten
    1. Tony Nelson, Minnesota
    2. Mike McMullen, Northwestern
    3. Bobby Telford, Iowa
    4. Chalfant, Indiana
    5. Medbury, Wisconsin
    6. Ben Apland, Michigan
    7. McClure, Michigan State
    8. Longendyke, Nebraska
Heavyweight is going to be a grinder this year! Lots of talent.

With his pedigree I could see him as high as 4th. The guys from Chalfant on aren't exactly world beaters.

I think PSU's Hwt (either Lawson, Gingrich or Ruggear) will be in the mix anywhere from 4-8.

Agreed. Still based on pedigree and quality of wins and losses from last year -- I pick Medbury > Longendyke to be the better post-redshirt

Oops...Massa is a true frosh this year. He'll be a great one, just not part of this conversation. For Michigan though, Conor Youtsey, the RS FR transfer may start at 133 and have some impact.
