Probably a dumb question, but how long can he do that before the NCAA starts taking away "wrestling time"? Or can he do it forever and try to enter college after an international career without any time penalty?

Not sure. Remember with Deitchler, he lost a year sorta, then had to pay some olympic money back. Then got the year back. I think until Destin makes a world/olympic team his clock shouldnt start. Thats a guess though.

I think Deitchler's issue involved his actually putting pen to paper for if not enrolling at Minnesota.

I don't think McCauley ever officially signed anywhere let alone enrolled anywhere. All he did was verbal to Wisconsin and then switched to Iowa State.

Destin did actually sign with Iowa State and is off limits to any other school until after school starts, he is not enrolled at Iowa State, then his LOI become void and free to start over again.
