Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.
One, two, Evans is coming for you...
Interesting! I know that PSU in the past have had some Hwt wrestlers go on to play Pro Football. Probably the best footballer was Mike Reid who wrestle a couple of years for PSU. Dave Joyner would be another. Now, I think it's almost impossible to try to do both sports. CS Bakersfield's Neal would be a super example in the past decade or so. Is he still playing for the Patriots?
There's a ton of them. Ray Lewis, 2 time state champion at 189 is one example. If you google this there is a website with an entire long list of NFL players who wrestled. DC
Riley Reiff won I think 4 or 5 titles in High school. He was drafted this year, 23rd overall (guess) out of Iowa. He definitely could have wrestled in college.
Carlton Haselrig for the win.
Tom Brady was a 4 time state champ in california and was a double fargo champ from 8th grade on.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
Usually the really good lineman were wrestlers, usually because they were too fat to play basketball. All of our best lineman at my high school wrestled at some point, we are pretty legendary in Kentucky (first ever 2A Team to go undefeated for example). Sometimes you will have a linebacker who wrestled. But one name that always stood out to me was the fact that Roddy White (Wide Reciever for the Atlanta Falcons) was a 2 time state champ in South Carolina.
