Crap, I hate to agree with Herkey, but he's right. Texas negotiated the best financial deal from themselves in the big 12 (one of he reasons Nebraska left). They convinced the conference to hold the conference title game in Their home state basically every year. And since that was not enough, they aren't even bothering supporting a conference tv network with a sweet deal for themselves. Nope, they are going for the UT network. That takes a big set of "I don't care about anyone else" balls. But hey, everything is bigger in Texas, right? Unless you're in Alaska. Kinda like my favorite Texas/Alaska joke.

It should be mentioned that as part of the 4 team waiver they are losing the automatic qualifier for the champion. It is hard to imagine that between those 4 schools at least one won't have an automatic qualifier, but I guess it could happen.

Again the P10 has only 3 member schools in the P10 wrestling conference. I think putting the WWC into the B12 would be the same idea & a good fit.

Also other sports have conference schools in other conferences such as Men's Volleyball. There is NO B10 Volleyball championship. They all belong to the EIVA.

I think we can all forget about Texas doing what is right for the sake of the conference. They could care less about anyone else in the Big Twelve for any sport let alone wrestling. If there ever was a school that only looked out for numero uno it is Texas.

I agree with you. That is why I think either A&M or Tech need to start a program first. Texas will follow because they have the money and they would never want to be left out of something that A&M had. If the wrestling people were smart we would hold a big fundraiser and get A&M to start a program. Texas would start one too just out of jealousy. I could be wrong. but that would be strategy.
