Brester beat Varner as a junior (and was 1 second of RT away from doing it as a senior).

I think I'm just going to stop doing my little write ups and just post the order, it seems like I'm turning my brain off when I write them and am forgetting easy things.

That or just go into my cliche mode that I like to use for my All American picks because right now I'm a guy who just doesn't quite have it all together, I'm very hot and cold and people are jumping off my bandwagon.

You've made some good choices, however the most dominant wrestler that had national champion oozing from him was John Trenge lehigh. 2 x finalist against Sanderson and Hahn. 3 x all american, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd. Should've been a 2 or 3 timer. One year sidelined with eye injury. Cooperman was good, but trenge was great

Okay, cool. It was blowing my mind reading about all these other guys. They were studs, but I haven't seen anyone as dominant as that trenge guy and not win. What an amazing athlete.

Wouldn't you expect him to be on the portion of the list not yet released then? :P

    6. Ryan Lewis (DNW/DNW/2/2) 64-5, 8-2 NCAA's

Ryan Lewis is a guy who was interesting to try to place given that he, like Strittmatter only wrestled D1 for two years. Utterly dominant through out the year as a junior coming into the finals either undefeated (I think) or maybe he had one loss before going down in a one point match to Johny Thompson. As a senior he had one of (in my mind) the best all time tournaments where a guy didn't win as he pinned his way to the semi's very quickly, and then majored future NCAA champion Cliff Moore 13-3 avenging a loss in the Big 10 finals the prior week.

    7. Mike Poeta (DNP/3/2/2) 105-14, 14-5 NCAA's

Went back and forth quite a bit between Poeta and Fleeger before deciding what I wanted to do with the two of them given their nearly identical credentials. What a lot of people may not remember is that he wrestled as a very small 165 pounder his freshman year (Alex Tirapelle was a senior at 157) and still had a really quality year (3rd at Big 10's, lost to Matt Nagel in the semi's) and made the Round of 12 at NCAA's.

    8. Chris Fleeger (DNP/3/2/2) 86-9, 13-3 NCAA's

Two finals, an additional 3rd, and less than 10 career losses make Fleeger an easy call here over all the guys that I have below him. Finals losses came in matches that he was arguably favored in on paper. Both guys that beat him would go on to become 2x NCAA champions.

    9. Lance Palmer (4/8/4/2) 121-31, 15-8 NCAA's

Despite having more losses he gets the nod over Simmons due to his finals appearance, the fact that he never redshirted, and the fact that he wrestled in some really tough weight classes. Still super impressed by the way that he really kicked into high gear last year after National Duals.

    10. Nick Simmons (7/4/4/3) 138-20, 18-7 NCAA's

Gets the nod over Tannenbaum in one of my more subjective placements on the list. Tannenbaum has a better average career finish and he made a final, but when Simmons was really firing on all cylinders I think he was a better wrestler than Tannebaum was. Won the Big 10 and made the semi's at NCAA's each of his last three years, but just never able to make that final break through into the finals.

What a pointless thread. Clearly the answer is Mike Kelly.
