Wisconsin's 285 Recruit

Connor Medbury from Loveland, CO will be joining the Badgers next year. He just finished his HS career with his 3rd State title, and finished the season 44 - 0 (pinning all 39 guys he faced; the other five wins were from forfeits). He was also a highly regarded football recruit and appears to be extremely athletic. Can't wait to see him in a Badger singlet!

7th/8th at Fargo isn't bad, but 39 pins in 39 attempts is awesome regardless of the competition.

As a Badger fan I'm particularly pumped. Our current 285 (Buggenhagen) wrestled 171 in HS and 184 two years ago. He's bulked up a bit and is doing a fantastic job, but he's still one of the smaller heavies out there. Before that we had Massey, who was an AA and even beat Fox the year Fox won it all (giving Fox his only loss that year), and before that we had a wrestler that moved up in weight to fill the 285 void. So, it'll be nice to once again have a legit big guy right out of the gate.
